چکیده

Composites based on green high-density polyethylene (G-HDPE) and hydroxyapatite (HA) compatibilized with maleic anhydride grafted (HDPE-g-MAH) were developed in this work. The main objective was to evaluate the effects of HA HDPE-g-MAH contents mechanical thermal properties hydrolytic degradation composites through design experiments statistical analysis, as well hemolytic stability. Hydroxyapatite acts a reinforcing agent for G-HDPE matrix while compatibilizing agent, improving dispersion particles polymer thus increasing properties. crystallization temperature degree crystallinity increased addition HA, suggesting filler heterogeneous nucleating agent. Hemolysis tests performed composite sample best performance did not indicate significant degradation, which suggests is promising material be used bone tissue engineering, application implants grafts.

Oxygen-barrier films based on low-density polyethylene/ ethylene vinyl alcohol/ polyethylene-grafted maleic anhydride compatibilizer

In this research, high oxygen-barrier films were organized based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE)/ ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH)/ polyethylene-grafted maleic anhydride (LDPE-g-MA) compatibilizer. The effects of 10–30 wt. % EVOH and 0–10 wt. % LDPE-g-MA loadings on the properties of final films were evaluated. The morphology of specimens was observed by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM)...

Enhancement of the Mechanical Properties of Basalt Fiber-Wood-Plastic Composites via Maleic Anhydride Grafted High-Density Polyethylene (MAPE) Addition

This study investigated the mechanisms, using microscopy and strength testing approaches, by which the addition of maleic anhydride grafted high-density polyethylene (MAPE) enhances the mechanical properties of basalt fiber-wood-plastic composites (BF-WPCs). The maximum values of the specific tensile and flexural strengths are achieved at a MAPE content of 5%-8%. The elongation increases rapidl...

on translation of politeness strategies in dialogues involving female characters in translations and retranslations of novels translated before and after the islamic revolution of iran and their effects on the image of women: a polysystem theory approach

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

Dynamic Mechanical Analysis of Compatibilizer Effect on the Mechanical Properties of Wood Flour-High-Density Polyethylene Composites

In this study, effect of MAPE (maleic anhydride polyethylene) as the compatibilizer on the mechanical properties of wood-flour polyethylene composites has been investigated by using Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA). Composites were made at 25% and 50% by weight fiber contents and 1% and 2% compatibilizer respectively. Controls were also made at the same fiber contents without the compatibilize...
